Hi eveyone! I'm just dropping by to wish you all good lick for the last week and the playoffs. I had to drop out because of the lack of time. I usually work 35 hours a week and I had to work almost 60 last week, and it seems like it's gonna be the same this week so I won't have time to play. I'll be back for a future season, and hopefully I'll be a better player by then. |

I think that's largely due to the relatively small number of signups. What we've got here isn't really a representative sample (for example, I'm second overall and I don't consider myself to be particularly good). I'm sure there'd be much less of a jump if we had enough signups to run two divisions of League B. _________________

i'm curious as to when playoffs start, and who gets in.
at 11th i doubt i'll get in unless i get #1 on all 4 songs...unless it's more accepting than i thought.
if i do somehow sneak in, i'm going to be on winter break the next two weeks with no GH access, much less computer access. what would I do? _________________

Playoffs will be starting next week.
As for how many get in... that'll depend on how many people are still bothering to submit scores. 21 people have submitted scores for all three weeks so far, plus the one person in the top 20 who didn't submit last week. Realistically I don't think there'll be less than 10, probably more like 14 or 16 but of course that's just speculation, ultimately it's Barfo's call.
EDIT: in fact, if you do four rounds, and give the top four a first round bye, it works out nicely with 12 people which goes along with the stated aim (from the FAQ) to get at least the top half of the active players. Yeah, I just worked that out on paper. Still just speculation though, don't take anything I say as gospel 'cos it's not up to me. _________________

Gah I have no way of doing playoffs then.
Being a student sucks, what with winter break and all. ;-)
Butseriouslyfolks, what can I do about this? I'll be out of town until the 27th, will there be any time left for me to do a quick run or two for playoffs? _________________

TheCaptain's got a great point:
For all of you looking to improve on FCPREMIX....
#1. Play it often. It has a funky rhythm to it, and takes getting used to.
#2. Downstrum the main riff and chorus. So much easier so that your hands don't have two constant actions at once (switching keys and back/forth strumming) |

Yep. Though you're actually playing a straight rhythym with your right hand, but much like John The Fisherman's bass, it sounds much funkier. _________________
