I sometimes pull the chalk ball out if I am on the ground, but I usually stick my hand in the bag.

If you go to Dover NH climbing wall I'll go there, otherwise I'd rather not outdoor climb. _________________

Nah, I'm not going to travel 1.5 hours to climb indoors.
I have indoor gyms I can climb around here.
You should try outdoors climbing; its far more enjoyable than indoor climbing. _________________

I was looking for a bouldering/climbing thread and was surprised to find out that Matt, co-founder of the site, of all people, was also a climbing enthusiast!
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else boulders on here and whether you have a strong opinion on indoor bouldering gym grades. I started over 3 years ago and I mostly boulder indoors in Montreal on a regular basis (2-3 times a week). I believe the grades are known to be soft, but anyhow, I'm fairly comfortable with most V5 and below and can manage the occasional V6-V7 flash. I've projected and sent very few V8 and very recently my first V9. I have climbed outdoors and while I'm aware that rock climbing grades are rougher, it felt as if the suggested grades were massively sandbagged.
Hope to hear from other climbers (old-timers as well as fresh starters) if there happens to be any in what's left of this community! _________________
