Good stuff.
After bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Math (double major), I've just completed my masters in Software Engineering and am beginning the AIT (Applied Information Technology) doctorate program in the Fall. I too really enjoyed theoretical math courses such as DE and Lin. Alg., but I feel without programming ability, it's hard to apply that knowledge in the world.
My graduate project and research has been in robotics and simulation where programming with a math background is essential. You can see a copy of my workhere (lots of work involved). Next semester I'll be taking two courses and also teaching two courses as part of my graduate assistantship. Then in January I'll be taking the qualifier exam for the program and continuing research and work on my dissertation for the next few years aftwardwards.
On the side I've been doing some programming/web work for my father's environmental company, as well as my own projects such as scorehero. But I'm also hoping to find a real job in the next few years, so we'll see. _________________

Yeah... Think I'll read that tomorrow... uh..
I haven't got a drivers license either, but half of the people I know haven't. Guess it's not as common here. Plus as my life is now I don't need one (except that employers seem to hang up on that in a CV) since a 10 minute walk will take me anywhere I need to be. 5 mins to work and 5 mins to the city. 10 mins to the liqour store _________________

Eh, I don't really like seafood much in general, so I'll pass.

You don't happen to know/remember Michael Falk, do you? He got his BS & MS here (Iowa State) in meteorology and played on the quiz bowl team here. He actually wound up winning last season's Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy. _________________

I recognized the name, I'm not really sure who it is, but I've probably played them several times. He must have been overshadowed by his teammates, jeopardy skill and quiz bowl skill don't always go together _________________
