I just had to make a topic for this..
For those who haven't been following this crazyness.. random and I have been battling this score (Hey You - Expert) for quite some time. To give you an idea, here's a history of 1st place scores for the song (the ??? are unknown since only random's latest 3 scores are kept in the system):
Code: | random ??????
JCirri 250,926 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jun. 24, 2006 @ 6:25 AM
random ??????
JCirri 251,553 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jun. 25, 2006 @ 2:11 AM
random ??????
JCirri 251,612 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jun. 27, 2006 @ 2:08 AM
random ??????
JCirri 251,800 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jun. 27, 2006 @ 4:43 AM
random 252,289 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jul. 9, 2006 @ 7:02 PM
JCirri 252,311 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jul. 10, 2006 @ 6:34 AM
random 252,316 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jul. 12, 2006 @ 2:51 AM
JCirri 252,518 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jul. 12, 2006 @ 8:35 PM
random 252,562 ★★★★★ 100% 632 Jul. 13, 2006 @ 2:27 AM |
Btw, good job on that latest score random, 44 points is more than I expected, your whammying must've been near perfect. One of us should really make a video to show the world how crazy this SP execution has become.
It's truely amazing how much we've pushed this score as we continue to squeeze out more hold points and occasionally find extra notes.
Unfortunately it's now my turn again to push the score, and it's really becomming difficult, but I will not give up! _________________

And now I'm going to cry, he also just beat my ILRR by a single tick of hold points (4 points)..
Very impressive, random. Do you happen to remember what your score was after the solo? (mine was 98,241) _________________

Yeah it's Hey You. I had it in the topic title but removed it to make it more generalized when he also beat my ILRR. _________________

That's funny, must be the song, MaximusDM and I were going back and forth on it on easy too.
116540 MetalMadness 6/27
116536 MaximusDM 6/21
116532 MM 6/13
116516 Max 6/10
116464 MM 6/8
I hope there aren't 4 more points left, cause i don't know where they are! _________________

Hehe, yeah, it's been pretty funny. Especially the day we each set a new high score twice. Even my girlfriend who's sick of this game by now is always excited to see whether you'll get the score back, and I think you've reclaimed it pretty much immediately each time I took it, until this time.
I know there are more points in there, because on one game I spaced where I was and forgot to rush the last note in the last sp, but I still got 252,396. That would have been 34 pts better than my current score. On that game I had 175700 at the break after the solo. On my current score, I think it was 175682. There's something about the holds I can't put my finger on, but sometimes I just get more points and I don't know why.
As for ILRR, it doesn't matter now because Krim killed both our scores, but I was at 98256 after the solo (I forgot where that last star power went so I missed the last hold pts). |

I've been watching little rivalry this for quite some time, was very surprised there wasn't a thread on the subject before now - quite entertaining!
Wonder when it'll stop? _________________

I had 98,277 after the solo and know for a fact that I missed at least 8 points on the last squeeze.
Based on that and my previous score I know at least 139,197 is attainable. Hopefully we'll break the next hundred eventually. _________________

I don't know what's going on with my whammy bar, but now there's like a 10% chance that it won't respond until the 2nd or 3rd hit when I begin whammying so I can't always whammy the beginning of notes. I tested this in the middle of long holds also (to make sure it wasn't a problem with my execution at the start of notes), and the bar is definately not responding sometimes.
I was lucky enough it worked all the time in my ILRR run, but I'm trying to get nice execution again on Hey You and it's making it quite impossible... I might need to open it up and see if I can do something to increase its sensitivity (if anyone has done such things, please inform me).
EDIT:

Similar thing just happened to me, I had 175,696 and missed the last squeeze. This is painful with my whammy bar not working 100% though. _________________

Two more lead changes on ILRR
random = 139,189
Me = 139,205
I had 98,285 after the solo.
EDIT:
OK, That was insane. I just replayed it one time for the hell of it and got 98,301 after the solo ending with 139,217. But sadly got 4 points less than last time on the last squeeze. Should be tough to beat now. _________________

Wow. I knew you'd beat my score, but that's just ridiculous!
Great job, but I think you really need to play it again to get those other 4 points |
